“Our milk solids sold per cow to September 30th has increased over 7% with 2 less cows than last year. This was achieved with no increase in meal fed and a decrease in nitrogen use. Slurrycal is helping in that nitrogen reduction. We are seeing a better response to slurry in terms of grass growth and a marked increase in clover in our fields; in some cases where clover had all but disappeared from paddocks. The power in the slurry is allowing us to reduce our chemical nitrogen use which encourages clover growth and the cows are responding in the milk tank I am very impressed with Slurrycal and am delighted that we made the switch to it.”

On Friday, McGraths Limestone Cong hosted our charity event, Mindful Miles, in support of @mayomha. We gathered at the Neale GAA Pitch, to take part in a team relay challenge, with the goal of collectively walking and running the distance of a marathon. Thanks to the incredible effort of everyone involved, we exceeded our target, completing 255 laps, covering the equivalent of 5.5 marathons! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We were delighted to welcome Mayo footballers Tommy Conroy, Tom Lydon and Pádraig O'Hora, from Mayo Mental Health Association, along with Lianne McManamon and John Hughes. So far, we have raised almost €10,000! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, participated, volunteered, and supported the event! Can you help us get to 10K? Following a fantastic afternoon of fundraising and team spirit, we enjoyed a cruise on Lough Corrib with Corrib Cruises. A sincere thank you to Captain Pat Luskin and his crew for taking care of us, and for the great food from Bia at Home.
