At McHale we produce a range of cutting edge agricultural baling, wrapping and mowing machines. Exports account for over 90% of our sales and our products can be seen working in 55 countries around the world.

“In 2015 we made the decision to expand our main manufacturing plant in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo by 200,000 square feet. For the floors we worked with McGraths Limestone in Cong who developed a specialised concrete mix incorporating steel fibres for our finished floors. McGraths supplied up to 500 meters of this specialist concrete per day.  We found McGraths Limestone to be very helpful in the development of the product, professional in their dealing with us and reliable in terms of meeting our strict delivery schedule.  We would have no hesitation in recommending McGraths Limestone based on their reputation and the service they have provided to us.“

“Rusal Aughinish is the largest alumina refinery in Europe and the largest of the alumina facilities operated by UC RUSAL.The plant was built between 1978 and 1983 and had an initial rated capacity of 800,000 tonnes a year. The current annual capacity of the refinery is in excess of 1.8 million tonnes of alumina. Rusal Aughinish has always been to the forefront in terms of technology in the industry. Year after year it implements the most modern technologies available to ensure it remains one of the top alumina producers in the world.“

McGrath’s Limestone have supplied Rusal Aughinish for past number of years, during this time they have helped Aughinish to maximise efficiency by producing specialised granular and powder calcium carbonate products customised to their needs.

Great to welcome the National Parks & Wildlife Service to our Cong Quarry last week. Two peregrine falcon chicks were ringed; a captivating and important process that supports the monitoring and conservation of these incredible birds.🐦‍⬛ A special thank you to Irene O’Brien for joining us and sharing her knowledge, as always, her insights really highlighted just how remarkable these birds are! A special mention to the mini McGraths, who were also there to experience the day — always great to see the next generation taking an interest in wildlife and conservation. A brilliant experience and a strong reminder of the role responsible quarrying can play in supporting biodiversity and conservation 🌿

Great to welcome 44 second-year students from the Earth & Ocean Sciences and Environmental Science programmes at @UniversityofGalway to our Cong quarry last week. The visit included a guided tour of the site and an overview of how the quarry operates, with a strong focus on environmental management, compliance, and the practical measures we take to meet and exceed our obligations at @McGraths_Limestone_Cong It’s always encouraging to engage with students studying the sciences that underpin our industry and to have open conversations around sustainability and responsible quarrying. A big thank you to Sadhbh and Declan Hughes for helping make the visit such a success. And glad to see the hats came in handy on the next field trip.
