Tipper Driver with Artic License

Job Role:

To safely, and efficiently operate heavy goods vehicles in the transport of limestone, aggregates, and related materials, while complying with road traffic legislation, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate an articulated tipper vehicle for the transport of limestone, aggregates, and related materials
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and pre-trip/post-trip inspections
  • Ensure vehicles and trailers are roadworthy and CVRT compliant
  • Secure loads in accordance with transport and safety regulations
  • Follow quarry traffic management procedures and site-specific safety rules
  • Wear the required PPE and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report vehicle defects, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Accurately complete delivery dockets, tachograph records, and transport documentation
  • Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle
  • Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues
  • Undertake ad hoc and additional duties as required and comply with reasonable management requests

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience operating CE vehicles
  • Previous tipper driving experience is desirable
  • Experience within the quarrying, aggregates, construction, or building materials sector is desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Licence/Certifications:

  • Full CE (Artic) Driving Licence
  • Driver CPC Card (all modules up to date)
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Safe Pass Card (required)
  • Manual Handling Certificate (preferred)
