Role Responsibilities
McGraths Limestone (Cong) Ltd. are now accepting applications for an experienced Metal Fabricator / Fitter / Welder to join our busy workshop team within a quarry, plant, and machinery environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to work alongside an established team of plant fitters, contributing to the maintenance and ongoing development of our crushing, concrete, tar, and lime plants.
- Maintenance of crushing, concrete, tar, and lime plants
- Fabrication and repair work on-site and in the workshop
- Working from fabrication drawings to produce high-quality components
- Supporting plant and machinery operations as required
- Troubleshooting, problem-solving and implementing continuous improvements
- Managing and completing ongoing fabrication and maintenance projects
- Adhering to all safety and quality procedures at all times
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Full qualification/accreditation as a Metal Fabricator, Fitter, or Welder
- Highly skilled in the fabrication of structural steel products and components
- MIG & TIG welding experience (desirable)
- Ability to interpret and work from fabrication drawings
- Experience with compressed air systems and pneumatics
- Quarry or heavy industry experience (desirable but not essential)
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manual handling training
- A strong “safety and quality first” attitude
