Job Role:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Concrete and Block Demounter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely removing, handling, stacking, and preparing concrete products and blocks after production.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely demount, remove, and handle concrete blocks and related products from moulds, production lines, pallets, and production areas.
- Stack, organise, and prepare finished products for curing, storage, loading, or dispatch.
- Inspect finished products for defects, damage, or quality issues and report concerns to the supervisor.
- Operate tools and equipment safely when trained and authorised.
- Clean and maintain moulds, equipment, and production areas to a high standard.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE, manual handling requirements, and reporting of incidents, near misses, defects, and unsafe conditions.
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
- Assist with general production, yard, and housekeeping duties as required.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Skills and Experience Required
- Manual handling
- Previous experience in a construction, concrete, block-making, manufacturing, or yard environment is desirable.
- Good awareness of health and safety in an industrial or construction-related setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to production standards.
- Forklift, teleporter, or machinery experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Manual handling training would be beneficial.
