McGraths Limestone Cong is now accepting applications for a Roadworks Junior Engineer position.
Job Type:
- Full-Time
- Salary: €35,000 – €45,000 per year
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager/Project Manager with daily site operations.
- Liaise with the design team to resolve construction issues, including managing RFIs and submittals.
- Ensure effective control and flow of all technical information on the project.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce health and safety standards on-site.
- Conduct site inductions as required.
- Supervise subcontractors and the general workforce.
- Maintain site diaries and daily activity logs.
- Monitor and ensure quality control and work standards.
- Manage BCAR processes, including inspection closures, ancillary certificates, and material certifications.
- Oversee concrete quality control, including taking cubes/slump tests and recording results.
- Set out lines and levels as required.
- Ensure compliance with Chapter 8 Traffic Management regulations.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong setting-out experience, including use of Total Station, Dumpy Level, and Laser Level.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Experience in roadwork and civil engineering.
- Building services experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, punctuality, motivation, and ability to work in a team.
